Welcome!
August 2009
RLDF attended ALSA Conference with 2 courses being delivered to delegates being Retail Store Layout: Maximising shopper spend – merchandising, layout and signage
A key component of any liquor retail development plan is to simply maximise the revenue potential of our current client/customer base and increasing the average basket size is a fundamental part. Here are some simple, cost effective merchandising ideas to assist any liquor retailer with meeting their sales goals. Participants left with an action plan ready for implementation.
Consumer Behaviour: Maximising shopper spend – improving staff selling skills
Anywhere from 50% to 80% of a retail store’s sales are handled by part time, casual or relatively inexperienced staff, yet these same staff for the most part act as ‘order-takers not order-makers’. In this session we look at increasing basket size by increasing staff selling skills and obtaining a better idea of consumer behaviour. Participants left with an action plan ready for implementation.
